Farewell meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the US Ambassador, Kent Logsdon
The head of diplomacy of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, had a farewell meeting with the ambassador of the United States of America in Chisinau, E.S. Kent Logsdon, who ends his diplomatic mission in our country, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in a press release.
During the meeting, the officials reviewed Moldovan-American bilateral relations, the ongoing support offered to our country in the reforms implementation, but also the projects that were successfully carried out thanks to the financial support of the USA.
"I expressed gratitude for the fact that the USA was always with the Republic of Moldova and supported us whenever needed. I thanked Ambassador Logsdon for the dedication and professionalism with which he performed his position and wished him the best of luck in his future professional work. Mr. Ambassador, I am confident that you will keep beautiful memories of Moldova!", said Mihai Popșoi.
We remind that Kelly Adams-Smith will replace Kent Logsdon. She was nominated on March 14 by the American President Joe Biden for this position. Kelly Adams-Smith is currently the Deputy Head of the US Mission to the European Union.
Kelly Adams-Smith, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister-Counselor, is currently Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Mission to the European Union. Prior to that, Adams-Smith served as Senior Coordinator for National Security Affairs in the Office of the Vice President.
Kelly Adams-Smith speaks Russian, Bulgarian, Estonian and Czech.
