Motorcycling Asia: Untúra Explores Hidden Gems

A motorcycle enthusiast, Dan Untură, has embarked on a journey to explore both popular and lesser-known destinations across Asia.

Having previously travelled extensively throughout Moldova, he now traverses the continent on two wheels.

Untúra recounted his motorcycle adventures in Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia during an interview on Radio Moldova's "Popas Turistic" program. His passion for motorcycling began when a friend suggested they explore Cambodia together. Untúra readily agreed, and their group adventure proved to be an unforgettable experience.

Describing his ten-day motorcycle tour of Cambodia, Untúra highlighted the contrasting experiences of navigating bustling cities and traversing unpaved country roads. He vividly captured glimpses of the locals' daily routines during his travels.

"An experienced team that knows the route is crucial for such journeys," Untúra emphasised. "We encountered days with gruelling eight or nine-hour rides straight through. While physically demanding, the experience is undeniably rewarding," the motorcyclist concluded.

Over 79,600 Romanian citizens cast their right to vote, by this time, at polling stations opened for the first round of the presidential elections taking place over three days. At the 59 polling stations opened in the Republic of Moldova, 12,600 citizens voted today. Most Romanian citizens voted at polling stations opened in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - over 11,500, Germany - 10,300 and in Italy about 10,000 people.
