EU reaffirms its support for the Republic of Moldova. Charles Michel and Dorin Recean had a meeting in Brussels
The European Union is open to further support the Republic of Moldova and the reform agenda to improve the quality of life of citizens, said the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in a discussion in Brussels with Prime Minister Dorin Recean. For his part, the Prime Minister from Chisinau emphasized that the support that the Republic of Moldova receives in Brussels reconfirms the progress made in several key areas.
On May 21, Dorin Recean had a meeting with Charles Michel. The two officials discussed aspects related to regional security, but also the firm commitment of the Chisinau authorities to build a resilient state, reads a Government statement.
"The future of the Republic of Moldova is in the great European family. The government is building the European Moldova and will continue the necessary efforts to bring prosperity to every home. We are stronger together and we must invest, in the long term, in peace, prosperity and security", said Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The officials also addressed topics related to hybrid threats, cyber attacks and disinformation actions launched by the Russian Federation in our country, the alignment of the Republic of Moldova with international restrictive measures, as well as the assistance provided within the European Peace Facility.
