Investigative police officers, decorated by the French Republic
Five investigative policemen were decorated by the ambassador of the French Republic in the Republic of Moldova, Graham PAUL, with the French medal for internal security for their contribution to the successful conclusion of a special operation to destroy a criminal organization that was active in the Republic of Moldova, France and Romania.
As part of the operation, 50 searches were carried out in the three countries, as a result of which 13 Moldovan citizens were arrested (12 in France and one in Romania), informs the Police of the Republic of Moldova.
Following the exchange of information between the competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova, France and Romania, starting from 2019, planning actions took place during working sessions in Chisinau, Paris and Bucharest, where, following the accumulation of evidence, the strategy to annihilate the criminal organization was ordered.
The awarding ceremony took place at the residence of the French ambassador, where the Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros, the head of the General Police Inspectorate, Viorel Cernăuțeanu, and the commander of the Central Office for the Fight against Transnational Crime, general De Tarle, were present. "Thank you, colleagues, for the work and effort you put into the security of citizens and the country. You showed professionalism at the highest level and an effective collaboration in the destruction of this criminal organization", said the head of the National Police, Viorel Cernăuțeanu.
At the end of the event, the parties reiterated their interest in expanding cooperation between law enforcement structures.
