Andrei Spînu, about the possibility of reducing the gas tariff
A possible reduction in the gas tariff can only take place after the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) will analyze all the costs related to the purchase, transportation, distribution and supply of gas to consumers. The Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
According to the official, ANRE is the institution responsible for setting the gas tariff, and the authorities will come up with recommendations to the institution to analyze these data as soon as possible and decide if there are premises for reducing the tariff. Andrei Spînu recalled that until that moment, the Government offers compensation to help people get through this winter. The deputy prime minister also stated that for security reasons, the information about the gas stocks held by our country will not be made public, but he assured that the stored volume is enough to overcome this winter. Andrei Spînu also said that Energocom will continue to buy gas from international markets. Until now, the average purchase price of gas was 965 EURO/1000m3.
