State Budget Revenues Increase in First Four Months
State budget revenues have risen in the first four months of 2024, according to the Moldovan Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry reports that revenues totaled approximately 21 billion lei, which is nearly 965 million lei or 4.8% more than the same period in 2023.
Tax and Customs Collections Show Growth
The State Tax Service collected approximately 9.7 billion lei in revenue, while the Customs Service collected approximately 11.9 billion lei.
State Budget Expenditures Remain Lower Than Previous Year
On the other hand, state budget expenditures reached slightly over 25 billion lei, according to the source. This represents a decrease of 1.5% or slightly over 393 million lei compared to the same period in 2023.
State Budget Ends April with Deficit
The Ministry of Finance also reports that the state budget ended with a deficit of nearly 4.1 billion lei in April of this year.
