"We are sorry that we have to come up with this proposal, but everyone has seen the disconnections, heard the forecasts. We still need decision-making tools to continue taking care of our people", said Natalia Gavrilița. The subject will be included in the Government's agenda. If it is approved, the prime minister said she will go to Parliament on Thursday to ask for a vote of the deputies. "Yesterday we had very good talks in Bucharest. We are supported by our friends, primarily Romania. We also discussed changes to the Emergency Ordinance so that our operators can also buy at a capped price," emphasized Natalia Gavrilița. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, on February 24, a state of emergency was established in the Republic of Moldova, being extended until now. Last time, Parliament voted to extend the state of emergency by 60 days, starting on October 7. The authorities previously said that the decision was determined by the persistent risks and threats aimed at national security, as well as the supply of the Republic of Moldova with energy resources for the cold period of the year 2022-2023.
