Natalia Gavrilița: The Republic of Moldova must come up with competitive advantages to attract new investments
In the conditions of a small market and the uncertainty caused by the war in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova must come up with very competitive advantages to attract new investments and to support the businesses already active in the country. This was announced by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița in a meeting of the Working Group for the reform of the regulatory framework of entrepreneurial activity, dedicated to state controls and the system of sanctions for economic agents.
One of the instruments proposed to facilitate the activity of economic agents is contained in the "Deregulation Package 1", recently launched by the Ministry of Economy. It will strengthen the principle of consultative control which assumes that in the first three years after registration companies cannot be sanctioned by the control bodies unless they commit serious or repeated violations. The Group's experts will assess to what extent the control bodies comply with the principles of good regulation and legislation in the field of state control, after which they will develop measures to improve the field of state control and the sanctioning system. Legislative changes will be proposed at a later stage.
