Seán Ó Fearghaíl comes to Moldova. It is the first visit in 25 years since the Moldovan-irish diplomatic relations establishment
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Irish Parliament, Sean O’Fearghail will pay a visit to the Republic of Moldova between May 31 and June 2. It is the first visit to our country by an Irish diplomat in the 25 years since the establishment of Moldovan-Irish diplomatic relations. The Irish official will be accompanied by a delegation of senators, informs a press release of the Parliament.
“The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Irish Parliament, Sean O’Fearghail, will meet with the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu. Afterward, the two Speakers of Parliament will hold a briefing, scheduled for Friday, 31 May, at 14:00. The agenda also includes meetings with the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration, Ina Cosheru, members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Ireland in the Moldovan Parliament and Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs,” reads the Parliament’s press release.
Discussions will also focus on our country’s European agenda, Ireland’s support for our efforts to join the European Union, the intensification of parliamentary dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and Ireland, and trade boosting and economic cooperation.
