The Republic of Moldova will access European grants for the digitization of the economy
The Republic of Moldova will benefit from European grants for the implementation of digitization projects. The agreement between our country and the European Union, signed in Brussels this February, was ratified by the Chisinau Parliament. According to the document, the EU funding program provides access to a total budget of 7.6 billion euros, and the Republic of Moldova is associated in 4 areas: supercomputing, AI , advanced digital skills and the best use of digital technologies.
Thus, businesses, public administrations and other eligible organizations from the Republic of Moldova will access the Digital Europe Program calls. Participation in the program will boost the digitalization of Moldova, bringing benefits to SMEs and the economy in general.
The funding will also support the establishment of Digital Innovation Hubs in Moldova, with our country benefiting from a 95% reduction in annual financial contributions for participation.
The Electronic Government Agency is designated as the national point of contact for the Program implementation. It will coordinate and provide advisory support to potential project beneficiaries.
We remind that through this Program the European Union aims to accelerate the digital transformation of the economy, industry and society.
