Moldova Marks Children's Day: Events & Free Zoo Entry
On June 1st, Moldova joins the global celebration of International Children's Day.
This joyous occasion is marked by a variety of fun-filled activities designed to entertain and engage children.
The Chisinau Botanical Garden is hosting a special event today, offering children a chance to participate in creative workshops, interactive games, and traditional sports demonstrations. Dog training exhibitions and a horse show are also included in the day's program, ensuring a fun and enriching experience for young visitors.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs will showcase its equipment and special vehicles at the Botanical Garden event. Additionally, a concert featuring local artists has been organised for the occasion. The Moldovan government has announced that children will be admitted to the Botanical Garden free of charge.
Festivities extend beyond the Botanical Garden, with the Chisinau City Hall organising events dedicated to children in several parks throughout the capital. Today marks a special day for children in Chisinau, as they are also granted free admission to the city's zoo.
Last year's parliamentary amendments to the Labor Code designated Children's Day as a national holiday in Moldova. This day is celebrated annually on June 1st in over 50 countries worldwide, with more than 100 other nations holding their own children's day celebrations on various dates.
