The Republic of Moldova holds first presidency of the International Labor Conference in Geneva
This year, the Republic of Moldova holds the presidency of the largest and most important International Labor Conference, held annually in Geneva by the International Labor Organization (ILO). Thus, the 112th session of the International Labor Conference will be chaired by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu.
"It is a special honor and responsibility for me to be the president of the largest Conference dedicated to labor and workers' issues and rights around the world," said Alexei Buzu.
According to the ministry, together with the delegates of governments, employers and workers from the 187 member states of the ILO, a wide range of issues will be addressed, including the protection of workers against the effects of climate change and biological hazards, the care economy and fundamental principles and rights at work.
The conference will take place between June 3-14, during which commissions and working groups will meet on various topics, such as: application of standards, biological risks, decent work and others.
