The Moldovan community in Switzerland marked the fifth edition of the Moldovan Wine Festival, organized in Zurich by the "Rădăcinile Noastre" (Our Roots) Association. The event, held on Saturday, October 17, brought together compatriots from across Switzerland, guests from other European countries, and Swiss friends, all of whom could discover the traditions, music, and wines of the Republic of Moldova. Since its inception, the festival has promoted national culture and maintained ties with the home country.

Moldova has withdrawn staff from four checkpoints in Ukraine due to war risks

The Republic of Moldova has withdrawn its Border Police and Customs Service personnel from four joint checkpoints located on Ukrainian territory in order to reduce risks posed by military attacks near the border. Authorities in Chișinău are currently discussing with the Ukrainian side the possibility of having Ukrainian border guards conduct checks on the territory of the Republic of Moldova instead. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Daniella Misail-Nichitin, made this announcement during the program "Pe Față" on Moldova 1 TV.
