Gaza Crisis Deepens: IDF Secures Aid Delivery Routes

Humanitarian assistance entering Gaza by sea through a seawall constructed by the USA will resume in the coming days, as announced by the Israeli army on Saturday following the completion of repairs to the structure, reported by Reuters.

"The IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) has initiated the securing of the coastal area around the American military installation Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (JLOTS) - in Gaza. The restoration of the seawall will facilitate the ongoing delivery of humanitarian aid to the population of Gaza in the coming days," stated the Israeli army.

The US Central Command declared on Friday that it had reinstated the temporary seawall anchored off the coast of Gaza, which had been temporarily removed after a section of the structure broke, two weeks after its commencement of operations.

The aid aims to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which has worsened in the eight months since Israel initiated an offensive in response to the October 7 attacks by Hamas, resulting in 1,200 casualties in Israel.

As reported by the Gaza Health Ministry, over 36,000 individuals have perished in Gaza since the inception of the Israeli offensive, which has ravaged significant portions of the enclave and displaced the majority of its population.
