Understanding Deputy Prosecutor Approval: Mandate Termination & Appointment Insights
The Superior Council of Prosecutors may today approve the deputy prosecutors of the Prosecutor General. This matter is included on the agenda of the CSP meeting.
According to the law, candidates for these positions are nominated by the head of the Prosecutor's Office, Ion Munteanu. They must possess at least 5 years of relevant experience within the last 15 years, demonstrate strong organisational skills, and maintain an impeccable reputation.
The deputy's mandate concludes with that of the prosecutor general, yet they continue to fulfil their duties until this position is filled. Nevertheless, the law permits the termination of the mandate upon request from the head of the Prosecutor's Office.
Furthermore, today will see the appointment of the deputies of the head of the PCCOCS and the deputy head of the Prosecutor's Office of Chișinău municipality.
