MEC will open several classes with teaching in the Ukrainian and Romanian languages, at the "Taras Șevchenko" Gymnasium in Chisinau
In the next academic year, several classes will be opened at the "Taras Şevchenko" Gymnasium in Chisinau with teaching in the Ukrainian and Romanian languages, the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) announces. According to the source, this will give the possibility to the children of Ukrainian refugees, but also of ethnic Ukrainians in our country, to continue their studies in their mother tongue and to integrate more easily into the educational system of the Republic of Moldova.
Primary and secondary school students will study in Ukrainian and Romanian, and teachers will be selected from among refugees and teaching staff from our country, who know the Ukrainian language.
MEC is currently discussing with international partners to get financial support for the translation of some textbooks into Ukrainian.
Over 2,300 children from Ukraine are enrolled in schools and kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova.
