Italian President Sergio Mattarella welcomed with military honors at the Presidency

The President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, who is on a two-day official visit to the Republic of Moldova, was welcomed by President Maia Sandu in a ceremony with military honors at the Presidency.

The two heads of state have official talks. At 11:10, after the bilateral talks, Maia Sandu and Sergio Mattarella will hold a joint press conference. The statements of the two heads of state will be broadcast live on Moldova 1 TV.

We remind that this is the first official visit of an Italian president to our country, Italy being the sixth trading partner of the Republic of Moldova and the country that hosts the largest community of Moldovans in the diaspora.
