Romania will take over the command of a NATO naval group operating in the Mediterranean Sea for six months, announced the representatives of the Romanian Naval Forces.

The minesweeper 274 "Vice Admiral Constantin Bălescu" will leave tomorrow from the military port of Constanța in the Mediterranean Sea, and on Friday - in the Port of Salamis in Greece, informs Radio Romania News.

Romania will take over the order for the second time in the last four years.

The Romanian Naval Forces mentioned that by participating in this mission, they contribute to fulfilling the country's commitment to regional security and strengthen international collaboration to maintain stability in the Mediterranean Sea area.
