Moldova: Strong Wind Warning Issued Tonight

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Yellow Warning for strong northerly winds. The warning remains in effect until tonight, June 20th, at 8:00 PM.

Northwesterly winds are expected to intensify in gusts up to 15-20 metres per second (m/s).

According to meteorologists, no rain is expected today. Highs are forecast to be between 29 and 33 degrees Celsius (°C) in the central and southern regions of the country. In the north, temperatures will range from 24 to 28 degrees Celsius (°C).

Over 79,600 Romanian citizens cast their right to vote, by this time, at polling stations opened for the first round of the presidential elections taking place over three days. At the 59 polling stations opened in the Republic of Moldova, 12,600 citizens voted today.
