IGPF will keep the information about the people and means of transport that cross the border of the Republic of Moldova

The Border Police will be able to collect, process and store information about people and means of transport crossing the country's border. The data will be stored in its own centers, announces the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which has approved a set of amendments to the Law on the Border Police. Moreover, IGPF will have the right to consume data from third-party information systems in accordance with the normative framework in the field of data exchange and interoperability.

The document also provides for the modification of the hierarchical structure of the institution, by establishing subordinate subdivisions with national competence. Also, the project provides for the exclusion of the Center of Excellence in Border Security from the organizational structure of the General Inspectorate of the Border Police and its absorption by the "Ștefan cel Mare" Academy, which will allow the development of the professional training process within the internal affairs system at the highest standards.
