Netanyahu Foresees Gaza Conflict Shift Amid Hezbollah Escalation

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that "the intense phase of the conflict with the Hamas Movement in the Gaza Strip is nearing its conclusion."

He indicated that attention may now turn to Israel's northern border with Lebanon, where clashes with the Hezbollah group, supported by Iran, have escalated in recent weeks, as reported by Mediafax.

Simultaneously, the Israeli official underscored that Israel will continue its operations in Gaza until the Hamas militant group is eradicated. Netanyahu affirmed that the current phase of the conflict will culminate in the city of Rafah.

Netanyahu also expressed readiness to negotiate a partial agreement with Hamas for the release of hostages still held captive in Gaza.

In response to the Prime Minister's remarks, representatives of the Hamas Movement stated that his comments suggest he is seeking only a partial agreement rather than an end to the conflict in Gaza.

Prior to Israel's commencement of its aerial and ground operations in the southern Gaza city, more than one million Palestinians sought refuge in Rafah, despite international calls to cease. Since then, approximately 800,000 individuals have been displaced, with conditions described by the UN Food Agency as "apocalyptic."
