Security Advisory: Moldovans Warned Against Lebanon Travel

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) advises Moldovan citizens who are currently in Lebanon, transiting through, or intending to travel there to refrain from visiting the country.

This travel advisory comes amidst escalating security concerns in the Middle East, particularly in Lebanon and Israel.

Additionally, Chișinău's diplomatic channels recommend that Moldovan citizens closely monitor news and official updates provided by authorities, including MAE and the diplomatic representation in Tel Aviv. These sources will provide current information on the situation in the region and any additional security measures.

The Ministry urges citizens to exercise responsibility and caution, prioritise personal safety, adhere to instructions and regulations issued by authorities, and avoid unnecessary exposure to risks. MAE also advises citizens to maintain contact with the Embassy of Moldova in Israel.

"These travel recommendations remain valid until further notice and may change as the situation evolves," specifies MAE.

For further information and consular assistance, Moldovan citizens can contact the Call Center using toll-free numbers: 0 80 090 990 (from any fixed telephone within Moldova) or +373 22 23 20 02.

Additionally, contact the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel at Leonardo Da Vinci 21, Tel Aviv, Israel; phone: +972 3-523-2000.
