The gross external debt of the Republic of Moldova decreased by 1.4 percent
The gross foreign debt of the Republic of Moldova was more than 10 billion lei at the end of the first quarter of the current year, decreasing by 1.4 percent.
Its share in the GDP was approximately 61 percent and decreased by 2.4 percentage points compared to the end of last year, according to the preliminary data of the National Bank of Moldova.
The public external debt represented about 36 percent of the total external debt, totaling over 3.7 billion lei and decreasing by 2.4 percent.
Private external debt, with a share of 64 percent of the total, decreased by 0.7 percent.
