White House: NATO allies to give Ukraine 40 billion euros in 2025 in military aid
NATO allies will announce their intention to provide Ukraine with a core funding of at least 40 billion euros for next year at the summit in Washington, the White House confirmed.
The intention is to provide Ukraine with ongoing security assistance to help Kiev against Russia, reads the statement.
In addition, the NATO alliance is expected to announce the establishment of a new military command in Germany to train and to equip Ukrainian troops, as well as the appointment of a new representative of the alliance in Kiev.
The partners have assured Kiev that the summit will reaffirm that Ukraine's accession to NATO is an irreversible process, but no official invitation is expected, the Kyiv Independent reports.
