The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine are strengthening their cooperation in the integration process
The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine continue to act together in the European integration process. The chief negotiator of our country, Cristina Gherasimov, went to Kiev, where she met with the chief negotiator of Ukraine, Olga Stefanișina.
The meeting offered the opportunity to discuss the next steps in the accession process, preparations for bilateral screening meetings, strengthening the capacities of the two countries and cooperation with other candidate countries, the Office for European Integration announces.
Also in Kyiv, Gerasimov met with Igor Jovkva, the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, with whom she discussed the importance of European unity for the peace and prosperity of the region. The deputy prime minister reiterated the fact that the Republic of Moldova will stay with Ukraine as long as necessary.
