Boris Johnson Outlines Peace Plan for Ukraine, Impact on US Military
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson emphasised in a Daily Mail article that there is a plan which could bring the war to an end under favourable conditions for Ukraine and the West.
He noted that Donald Trump understands that a defeat for Ukraine could have catastrophic repercussions for both the United States and the world, as reported by Unian.
According to Johnson, the plan that the current US presidential candidate might propose involves restoring Ukrainian territories to the borders of February 23, 2022, maintaining Crimea under Russian control, and ensuring Ukraine’s entry into the European Union and NATO. Additionally, the Ukrainian army would replace approximately 70,000 American soldiers stationed at US bases in the European Union, which would result in significant savings for American funds.
Johnson further stated that, had Donald Trump remained in the White House, the Russian dictator would likely not have been as reckless and aggressive as to invade Ukraine.
