Israel introduces a new entry mechanism for citizens of states with a visa-free regime, including the Republic of Moldova
Starting with August 1, Israel is changing the rules for entering its territory for citizens of states with a visa-free regime, including citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
According to the Israeli authorities, starting with August 1, 2024, foreign citizens of visa-free states will not be able to enter the territory of the State of Israel without prior approval through the ETA-IL system. Foreign citizens who apply through this system in July, the system's pilot period, will receive approval valid for two years.
During the pilot project period (July 1, 2024 - August 1, 2024), applying for entry to the State of Israel is free. Starting August 1, 2024, the preliminary check for the purpose of approving entry into the territory of the State of Israel will cost 25 NIS, about 120 lei.
