EU Sends €1.5 Billion to Ukraine from Frozen Russian Assets
The European Union will send Ukraine the first 1.5 billion euros from frozen Russian assets on Friday, July 26.
The announcement was made on the social network X by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The funds will be used for Ukraine's defence and reconstruction.

In May, the ambassadors of EU countries agreed to use the profit obtained from frozen Russian Federation assets to finance Ukraine's reconstruction and defence needs. According to preliminary agreements, Kyiv is expected to receive approximately 3 billion euros per year.
