Donetsk: Fire engulfs Donetsk mine with 86 miners inside
Russian bombardments in the Donetsk region set fire to a mine with 86 miners inside, the Ministry of Energy in Kyiv announced, writes The Kyiv Independent.
According to the source, all the workers were taken out. The ministry did not report any casualties after the fire was extinguished. Russian forces also targeted power infrastructure in the Chernihiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions yesterday.
Russia continues to bomb Ukraine's energy infrastructure, especially in the frontline and border regions.
The Ministry of Energy says 9 gigawatts (GW) of energy capacity have been lost, which is half of the power used last winter.
