MFA's crisis cell recommends avoiding non-essential travel to Israel due to the security situation

The crisis cell at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) met on Thursday, August 8, to analyze the security situation in the Middle East. During the meeting, current developments in Israel and action plans to protect Moldovan citizens were discussed.

According to the authorities, so far, there have been no requests for consular support from Moldovan citizens in this area. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the August 4 call for Moldovan citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Israel and the Middle East region, given the unstable security situation.

Thus, Moldovan citizens who are already in Israel and intend to leave are urged to use the existing transport routes. In this regard, the MFA informs that Ben Gurion International Airport is operating normally, and flights to the Republic of Moldova are carried out systematically.
