A mobile team for people with severe disabilities will be created in each district of the Republic of Moldova
A mobile team for people with severe disabilities will be created in each district by the end of this year, said the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu. According to the official, today, three cars intended for social workers were assigned to the Territorial Agency of Social Assistance Nord.
The project is financially supported by the European Union and the People in Need NGO.
"A team of professionals moves to the homes of the beneficiaries, children and adults with severe disabilities, to offer rehabilitation services and support, integration of these people into society. This service in the Republic of Moldova was created in 2011. At the beginning of this year, this service was functional only in 15 districts out of 33. During this year, we created three services in three districts. Today we are laying the foundations to create this service in three other districts, namely Ocnița, Rîșcani and Edineț", said Alexei Buzu.
According to the Nord Territorial Social Assistance Agency, five social workers will be employed in the Ocnița, Râșcani and Edineț districts to help people with severe disabilities, and these cars will facilitate their work.
