Sweden increased the budget for the projects implemented in the Republic of Moldova in 2023
The Republic of Moldova, along with Ukraine, remains a priority for the Government of Sweden in providing financial support - the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Kingdom of Sweden, Liliana Guțan, told our radio station. According to her, part of the Swedish financial aid will be directed towards increasing the defense capacity of our country.
"The Republic of Moldova, in 2023, is one of the few states that benefited from an increased budget, although according to the priorities of the current Government, all other states and funding directions suffered budget reductions. The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine remained two priorities, with growing budgets for financial support of projects implemented in order to strengthen security and foreign trade and social well-being", said Ambassador Liliana Guțan. We remind that the State Secretary of the Ministry of International Cooperation for Development and Foreign Trade, Diana Janse, paid a visit to Chisinau. In the first semester of this year the Kingdom of Sweden holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.
