ANOFM sets record for job placements
The National Employment Agency (ANOFM) in Moldova has successfully placed over 10,000 unemployed individuals in jobs this year, setting a new record for an eight-month period.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu attributed this achievement to collaborative efforts.
"In 2023, the agency helped 11,062 people find employment. As of August 21, we have assisted over 10,000 individuals," Buzu stated. "Looking back over the past seven years, this year's productivity in placing people in jobs is the highest. This demonstrates the effectiveness of our reforms and underscores the need for continued process improvements and enhanced collaboration with employers."
ANOFM data reveals that nearly 5,000 of the newly employed individuals are women, 128 have disabilities, and over 100 are returning citizens. The agency encourages job seekers to contact their local employment offices for assistance.
ANOFM's services are available free of charge to both unemployed individuals and those seeking a new job.
