Discover the best grapes at the Cimișlia festival
The annual Grape Festival in Cimișlia was a resounding success. Local grape producers showcased their finest varieties, competing for the coveted title of "Best Grape."
Visitors were delighted by the event, which celebrated Moldova's rich agricultural heritage and showcased the diverse products of the region.
The festival featured a delightful array of food and entertainment, including fresh fruits, grapes, wine, grilled meat, folk music, and dancing. Visitors were impressed by the variety of grapes on display and the friendly atmosphere. Many commented on how much they enjoyed the experience.
Grape producers were equally enthusiastic about the festival, recognizing its importance for the development of Moldovan viticulture. "I was excited to participate in the festival and meet with other grape producers," said Vitalie Văcaru, a grape grower from Ștefan Vodă. "We exchanged ideas and experiences, and made plans for next year based on the challenges we faced this year. One of the interesting discoveries was the 'aperen' grape, a unique variety with distinctive characteristics."
"We showcased a large quantity of table grapes and believe that increasing production is essential for our export market," said Serghei Ibrișîm, a grape producer from Comrat. "This will also create more jobs in the region."
Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Bolea attended the festival and congratulated the producers on their achievements. "This year is a great opportunity for Moldovan table grape producers," said Minister Bolea. "Our ambassador is promoting Moldova's agricultural products internationally, including table grapes. Moldova has declared at the UN that we are a country with a unique product, and table grapes will be a key focus of our international promotion."
