Mircea Geoană: NATO must be prepared to face any challenges
North Atlantic Allies as they learn the lessons of the war in Ukraine must prepare for potential future wars and continue to transform NATO for the digital age, NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana said at Wednesday's Military Chiefs' Meeting of Defense in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

According to him, the Allies need to strengthen their defences, modern defensive systems are needed to deal with any future threats. “Our alliance must maintain the capabilities and capabilities to defend the alliance against any present or future threats. It is essential that we take all the opportunities that the future holds for us, including artificial intelligence. We need to improve our technological capabilities, and that will increase our defence capabilities. Regarding the defence industry, our cooperation will bring innovation in the private sector, but also in the technological sector", declared Mircea Geoană.
Mircea Geoană also stated that at the NATO Summit in Vilnius on June 11-12, additional steps in strengthening deterrence and defence, the review of significant increases in defence spending and the continuation of support for Ukraine will be discussed.
