This development would signify a major escalation in military cooperation between the two countries, given that Iran has previously provided Russia with drones for use in the Ukraine conflict. Simultaneously, the delivery of ballistic missiles could provoke a swift response from Ukraine’s allies, who have repeatedly cautioned Tehran against this action.

Bloomberg’s sources did not specify the types of missiles, the exact timeline, or the scope of the deliveries. However, one official indicated that deliveries could commence within a few days.

U.S. officials have not yet commented on this information. Additionally, the agency has not received a response to its request addressed to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country’s UN representation.
