In January, maximum temperatures reached a new record
In January, the maximum air temperature reached a new record, informs the State Hydrometeorological Service. Thus, on January 18, at the meteorological station from Ceadîr-Lunga, the temperature values rose to 18 degrees during the day, a level that is reported in January for the first time in the entire period of instrumental observations. The previous record was set on January 5, 2022 and was 17 degrees.
The warmest day in January was also recorded in the capital of Romania, where 20 degrees were recorded on Wednesday, this being an absolute maximum recorded in the last 22 years.
