Poland and Moldova strengthen economic ties, discuss EU future

Poland is one of the Republic of Moldova’s key economic partners and a significant destination for Moldovan products, including wines.

This statement was made by President Maia Sandu during her meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who is visiting Chișinău.

“We discussed strengthening economic ties to boost the economy, support producers, and create new jobs,” stated President Maia Sandu.

The president also noted that Poland, a member of the European Union for 20 years, provides a clear example of how European integration can transform a country.

“In the Republic of Moldova, we aim to follow the same path—to deliver tangible benefits to our citizens through European Union integration. This visit highlights our shared commitment to building a modern, European, and prosperous Moldova, closely connected with our partners in Europe,” President Maia Sandu further emphasised.

It is noted that Donald Tusk is on an official visit to our country. Today, he also met with Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the President of Parliament, Igor Grosu.
