Government approves a 200-million-euro contract with the EIB for forest development
The Chisinau government approved the signing of a financing contract with the European Investment Bank (EIB), in the amount of 200 million euros, for the implementation of the Forest Development Program Project in the Republic of Moldova.
The project aims to implement the actions provided for in the National Forest Extension and Rehabilitation Program for 2024-2028.
This project aims to afforest and rehabilitate 63,200 hectares of forests, contributing to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and the creation of 9,500 jobs in rural areas.
The financing contract will be officially signed on September 17, during the "Moldova Partnership Platform" event.
