Igor Grosu in Kiev: Peace in the Republic of Moldova is due to the heroism of the Ukrainian people

At the 4th Summit of the Crimea Platform, the Republic of Moldova reiterated its firm support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, underlining its steadfast commitment to restoring peace in the country and throughout Europe. The Parliament Speaker of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu, present in Kiev, said that the peace that our country currently enjoys is due to the heroism and devotion of the Ukrainian people.

"At the 4th Summit of the Crimea Platform, I expressed, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, my gratitude for the immense sacrifice of the Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield for more than two years, for the resistance that the Ukrainian people prove day by day, for their love of country and their great desire to live in peace, for Ukraine to remain free and independent. If today there is peace in Moldova, it is only because of the heroism of the Ukrainian people", wrote Igor Grosu on his Facebook page.

Also, the Parliament Speaker said that although the Republic of Moldova has limited resources, it will continue to support Ukraine in all possible ways, including within the framework of the peace formula for Ukraine.

"Today we have about 60 thousand Ukrainians who benefit from temporary protection. We also joined international efforts to free the kidnapped Ukrainian children and we adopted a statement in the plenary of Parliament. We have also joined the Council of Europe's damage register to ensure that Russia will pay damages, because what is happening in Ukraine is genocide. We will continue to be with our Ukrainian neighbors and peace in Ukraine will certainly be restored", Igor Grosu said.
