Romania will ask the EU for energy compensation. Sebastian Burduja: The support offered to the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine puts pressure on prices

Romania will ask the European Union for compensation for the energy price differences between the west and the east of the continent. This was announced by the Minister of Energy from Bucharest, Sebastian Burduja. He explained that, for several months, prices in the region are significantly higher than in Western Europe.

"Romania energetically supports the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, and all these elements put pressure on prices in Romania", said Sebastian Burduja, quoted by Radio Romania News.

The official added that the request will be made to the council of ministers, at the European level, and mentioned that he hopes that Romania will get compensation for these price differences.
