Under the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, the Moldovan will be fined up to 5,000 rubles (about 1,000 lei) and will be expelled from Russia.

According to the source, the Moldovan participated in the war, as a member of the Voluntary Assault Corps, within the "Scyth" detachment. According to the press service of this body, the serviceman failed to extend his stay in Russia before he was detained by border guards at a checkpoint between Luhansk and Rostov region on September 12.

The representatives of the Volunteer Assault Corps claim that the man moved outside the combat zone in order to renegotiate his contract.

Once returned to the Republic of Moldova, he could be convicted of mercenary. In our country, mercenary is considered a serious crime, regulated by the Criminal Code. The participation of Moldovan citizens in armed conflicts as mercenaries is strictly prohibited and can lead to prison terms of 5 to 10 years.
