Five participants scored ten in the Great National Dictation
Five participants in the Great National Dictation scored 10, and over 120 got "9", the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research announced in a press release. They received diplomas and awards in a festive ceremony.
The dictations were evaluated by a committee, made up of 15 university professors, doctors of philology and PhDs. The knowledge of spelling and punctuation rules was evaluated, as well as the requirements of the aesthetic organization of the text on the page, legible and accurate writing.
The participants who got the best grade at the Great National Dictation are: Ludmila Motricala, student; Natalia Cojocaru, teacher; Angelica Tonu, jurist; Victoria Burca, student; Măriuța Nistor, journalist.
About 1,800 people showed up on August 31st in the Great National Assembly Square, to pay tribute to the Romanian language, but also to test their language skills at the Great National Dictation.
At this year's edition, the organizers chose for dictation a fragment from the work "School of Life" by Spiridon Vangheli.
