Good news for drivers. Moldovan driving licenses will be recognized in France
Driving licenses issued by the Republic of Moldova and France will be mutually recognized. Today, the government adopted a decision to approve the agreement signed in July, in Paris, by the two countries. Moldovan citizens will not have to take theoretical and practical tests to have the right to drive in France, said the Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros.
He also said that the authorities will make efforts to expand the list of countries with which the Republic of Moldova has signed agreements on the mutual recognition of driver's licenses.
"The approval of the agreement will allow the right to benefit from the mutual exchange of the driver's license, without the need to support the theoretical or practical test of the holder with a driver's license for vehicles with less than 10 seats. Such driver's license holders who meet the upper mentioned requirements and intend to get a driver's license by changing their country of residence, either the Republic of Moldova or France, will benefit from the simplified procedure and will save both time and financial resources", a said Adrian Efros.
We remind you that the Republic of Moldova has already signed seven treaties of mutual recognition of driving licenses with Turkey, Lithuania, Italy, Albania, Spain, Greece now with France, and a joint declaration of intent with Germany, regarding the transcription of these documents.
