Week "Eugeniu Coșeriu Municipal Library Days", in Bălți": Librarians motivate the young generation to read more
The "Eugeniu Coșeriu Municipal Library Days" week was launched in Bălți". At the beginning of the event, several students from the city were present at the creative, reading and entertainment workshops, organized by the librarians.
The children listened to stories about the importance of books and did experiments.
"We came to the library to learn, to look at books, experiments. The librarian told us how the book is made, she told a story, a poem. I made an experiment from a sheet of paper".
"I like to read books. The librarian told us a story. He showed many interesting books. I really like to read," said the children. The librarians through various presentations motivated the young generation to read more.
"We did a reading workshop, we also have experiments, I told them about the book's journey, it is very important. In fact, these children were with us before, I think about a year ago. We talked to them about children's addiction to the phone and we are trying to do our best to promote the book. They always come with great enthusiasm and love to the library. They really like it, it's fun and it's in good spirits. We are welcoming and we invite them even on Sundays, and on any weekday," said Natalia Serjantu, head of the children's branch at the "Ion Creangă" Library, the "Eugeniu Coșeriu" Bălți Municipal Library Branch.
"We talked about the meaning and role of the book in human life. We talked through different contests, dialogues, entertainment, songs, dances and conversations with the students. We discussed the types of books in the 21st century, including manuals and e-books. I listened to the opinions of the children, the group I talked to and worked with, they think that the pluses are the book that we all know from childhood, which we can feel, smell and read", said Ala Cucereavaia, librarian.
The days of the "Eugeniu Coșeriu" Municipal Library run until September 27.
