Andrei Spînu: In February we could pay less for natural gas

In February, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova could pay less for natural gas. Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu estimated that the tariff could decrease by about 10% per cubic meter of gas, the statement was made during a program on TV8.

Andrei Spînu explained that the tariff adjustment depends on the " price at which Energocom will sell the gas to Moldovagaz". Energocom will do the calculations and send them to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) or Moldovagaz, which could request the tariff adjustment. Previously, Andrei Spînu said that natural gas is currently being bought from international exchanges, where the cost has been reduced in recent days. The official explained that once the average price is calculated, the revision of tariffs can be discussed. We remind that the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who registered on the governmental portal compensații.gov.md were assigned degrees of vulnerability, depending on income and monthly expenses, and compensations were paid.
