150 thousand families will receive vouchers of up to seven thousand lei to replace their old appliances
About 150 thousand vulnerable families from the Republic of Moldova will receive, in the next three years, vouchers worth up to seven thousand lei to replace their old appliances with new and energy-efficient ones. The cost of electrical household equipment will be paid in proportion to 70 percent, and the beneficiaries will be the consumers registered on the government platform compensatii.gov.md, who will meet the criteria, said the Minister of Energy, Victor Parlicov, today, at the launch of the Voucher Program.
"Under this program, we don't want to fill all the landfills in the country with old equipment. Let's assume they will be brought in and recycled properly. We want to see that after this program, the bills of those who benefit from this program decrease, even if the level of comfort remains the same or maybe a better level, considering that the equipment is newer. We want to learn from the experience we had. By learning these lessons, let's launch this program financed by the Government's money", said Victor Parlicov.
We remind you that the program is implemented by the National Center for Sustainable Energy, with the support of the Ministry of Energy and with funding from the state budget. In the long term, it will contribute to the increase of economic security, the efficiency of energy consumption and the reduction of energy poverty, by reducing the expenses from the population's bills.
