The Republic of Moldova bought electricity from Romania at a price of 415 euros

The Republic of Moldova bought electricity from Romania yesterday at the price of 415 euros per mW/h. This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure, Andrei Spânu, during a show on Jurnal TV. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Government will provide electricity compensation for the first 75 KW consumed, only for citizens who are included in the first two categories of high energy vulnerability.

"Citizens will mostly not pay these rates, but the compensation program that was approved by the Government says that the most vulnerable will pay 3.7 lei, and the least vulnerable 4.2 lei. In fact, these are the rates that citizens will receive for the first 75 KW that are higher than average consumption. Respectively, the bills will come and these compensations will be seen in everyone's bill. All the calculations were made according to the average bill of our country's citizens, respectively, the most vulnerable and those who need the most help consume around this figure," Andrei Spînu said. Andrei Spînu also said that 50 percent of the electricity consumption of the Republic of Moldova will be brought from Romania at an average price of less than one hundred dollars. When asked about the distribution of the volume of natural gas between the two banks of the Nistru, Andrei Spînu stated that, in the region on the left of the Nistru, the amount of 2.3 million cubic meters will continue to be delivered, and for the right bank, 3 million cubic meters will be distributed. 4 million cubic meters of natural gas, although in the cold period of the year the required volume of gas is increasing. We remind you that yesterday the head of MoldovaGaz, Vadim Ceban, announced that the import price of natural gas from Gazprom in December will be 785 dollars for a thousand cubic meters. The official said that the imported volumes remain at the amount of 5.7 million cubic meters of gas per day.
