Citizens will benefit from compensation this year. The authorities are working out the payment mechanism

The authorities are in the process of preparing and developing the compensation mechanism for the cold period of the year, said the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu. The official assured that citizens will be helped to pay their energy bills this year, but the method and amount of compensation will be announced in November, as the project is currently still being worked on.

"This year the Government will help citizens too. We will help you get through the cold period of the year, we are in the process of finalizing the technical aspects, including the price. We are making these adjustments because it is a program that targets many households, and many families in our country. We will soon announce all the details. What will happen is that citizens who want to benefit from compensation will register like every year on the government portal compensații.gov.md and depending on income, members and other characteristics the system will determine the amount of compensation for the citizens ", said Alexei Buzu.

We remind you that, during the cold period of 2023-2024, more than 792,000 households registered for compensation from the state. In all, more than 2.5 billion lei were allocated.
