Over 340 students were transferred to educational institutions with more than 50 students. According to the Ministry of Education and Research, their parents will receive monthly financial allowances of 1000 lei.

The cited source announces that the payment of the allowances will start from the next month following the submission of the application and will be made through "Posta Moldovei" State Enterprise. Beneficiaries will receive information through local specialized bodies in education. The allowances are tax-free and will be offered for two years, excluding June-August.

"The transfer of students from small schools to larger schools brings several benefits, including access to richer resources such as well-equipped laboratories, school offices with modern equipment, larger libraries and a wider range of teaching materials. Also, a larger school offers more academic opportunities and improved performance and a higher level of instruction, as the results of PISA 2022 show us," reports the Ministry of Education.

In the Republic of Moldova there are about 100 schools with less than 50 students.
